Little Boy measured 10 feet in length and weighed nearly 5 tons. Nominal blast yield was the equivalent of 16 kilotons (16,000 tons) of TNT--a potent chemical explosive.

Fat Man was a plutonium bomb slightly longer and heavier than Little Boy, and measured 15 feet in circumference. The blast yield for it was 21 kilotons.

In round figures, 10 feet long, 4 feet in diameter, and it weighed 8000 pounds. The length was the maximum that would fit in a B-29 bombbay. Fatman was 5 feet in diameter, the maximum that would fit in a B-29 bombbay. It weighed 10,000 pounds.

Most atomic bombs had roughly these same dimensions until the they started designing bombs for external carriage on supersonic fighters. We had LOTS of B-29s after WW-2 as well as its follow-on the B-50 (a B-29 with upgraded engines and a front wheel hydraulic lift so the bomb could be loaded without needing a pit in the ground).
