Tequila is usually 38% to 40% alcohol so they're all about the same strength. If you mean strong as in harsh, the general rule is silver is stronger than reposado is stronger than anejo and 51/49s (Like Jose Cuervo and Sauza) are stronger than 100% agave tequilas.

It doesn't, it's mainly for show. Back in the days it was used, not to make the tequila stronger, but to prove how strong it was. If you dropped a worm in weak tequila it'd eventually dissolve, but if the alcohol content was high enough the tequila would act as a preservative and the worm would remain intact.
For Tequila sunrise, and all the tequila cocktails, better whit better Tequila. If you can buy Herradura, Cuervo or Sauza, it will be fine.
"Mucha tequila" or "muchas tequilas," if speaking about more than one tequila.
