You need to be more specific. What about the ECM are you testing?
Does the ecm control charging system on a 93 jeep wrangler and cause it not to charge the battery
The passenger side right behind the battery on the firewall. cant miss it
The fuel pump relay is grounded through the ECM.
No. 1995 was OBD-I controls, SBEC. 1998 was OBD-II controls, JTEC.
Should be under the hood, on driver's side, towards the front. Should see 4 plugs plugged into it.
............................................................................................................................................... Check behind the Dash, glove box. Should be able to see it looking from under Dash.
Not that I've ever heard. It would be a lot easier to reinstall one.
Check your low voltage input to the coil with the key on. If there are no volts, then either your ECM isn't sending the signal or you don't have continuity through the wire. If there are volts, bad coil. There should be specs on what it should read but I'm not sure what they are
First of all what is the problem you are having? The main thing the ECM on this vehicle is controling is the fuel richness. In other words if the ECM is not working then the jeep is either not running or not running well ie.. too rich (black smoke) or to lean. The stock carb is garbage and should be replaced with something like a motorcraft 2100 ( better than weber) and do nutter bypass. with # 49 jet should pass inspection. Nutter bypass will bypass ECM and run much better.
needs ecm mine drove me crazy trying to fix
did you try the control module or the switch just behind the dash on top of the steering column
No. Too many differences between those years.
