I suppose extreme scarring of the fingertips could have that effect, but it's hard to imagine why anyone would want to do that, if all you have to do to avoid leaving fingerpriints is to wear gloves. I should also point out that a person with obviously removed fingerprints is pretty suspicious, don't you think? :} If you mean, how can one erase latent fingerprints from an object, it depends on how the print was made, and what the object was. Fingerprints work like stamps; something will coat the tips of the fingers and, when you touch something, the pattern of the fingerprint is left behind. This can be natural oils from the body (which are actually pretty hard to detect actually), paint, soot, other oils such as motor oil, cooking oil, etc. How to clean the print depends on what made the print. For instance, prints made with paint are best removed with paint remover. Prints made with bodily fluids like sweat or oil can be removed with a detergent. Note that the acidic nature of sweat may mark or etch compounds like brass or copper, so removing the fingerprint then would be a matter of mechanically removing the etching from the metal.
