The rules for how many nucleons can be put together in a nucleus are complicated, but basically they predict that as you pack more and more nucleons in past Ni-62, the nucleus gets less and less stable. By the time you reach atomic number 93 and 209 nucleons, there are no more (known) stable isotopes, and it gets harder and harder to synthesize these unstable nuclei.

Theory predicts that there might be a "magic island" of stability, but it's difficult to reach. In particular, it's thought that there might potentially be relatively stable nuclei with atomic numbers 114, 120, and 124. (the most stable isotope of 114 that we know of has a half-life of about 3 seconds, but we haven't managed to pack enough neutrons into it to reach the hypothetical island of stability yet).
