You can either go to the store where the gift card is from and ask or on the back of every girt card is a scratch off area. Scratch off and call the number at the top and enter the 16 digit number that you scratched off and also on the back on the card there is a 4 digit pin number they will ask for that also. Finally you would know if ur card is still good and you would also hear how much money is left.
