First of all what age puppy and breed are you referring to? Puppies, especially young puppies should be taken to a vet before being given ANY sort of medication and this includes dewormers. Younger puppies have limited immune systems inherited from their mother which can be adversly affected by medicating them.
You should only deworm for tapeworms when there is evidence that your puppy has tapeworms. Always consult your veterinarian if you think that your puppy has parasites.
Yes
Deworm the dog and make sure he/she does not eat anything from outside or any table food.
at the store, you have to first buy the preventative deworm and then on the horses page there is an option to give a flu shot or deworm...
No, you don't have to but it is better to give your puppies shots as soon as they are ready. If you don't give your puppies their shots they can get many different illnesses and die
Yes, u should 2nd Answer: 4 weeks sounds a little young . . . our dogs are wormed around 7 to 8 weeks.
The quiet puppy might have worms, especially if its activity level is less than its littermates. Ask your vet to deworm it. Alternatively, it might just be the most submissive pup of the bunch. Speak and handle that puppy gently and work with it to build its confidence.
If you take them when they are brand new he/she will look them over and listen to their heart and lungs not much more,if you wait until they are 3 weeks then he/she can deworm them
Deworm at 3 to 4 weeks first round of shots by 8 weeks then every 3 weeks till done (3 rounds) then their rabies at 12 weeks.
You can, but there is no need to unless you are sure that he has tapeworms and even then deworming weekly isn't necessary unless you have a serious flea problem. You should always consult your veterinarian about appropriate deworming programs for your pets.
First of all do you know what type of worms your puppy has? You should also weigh your puppy. Get on your scale and weigh yourself first, then get the puppy and weigh both of you. Subtract the weight of yourself alone from the weight of you and the puppy and you will get the weight of your pup. The instructions for how much to give your pup is on the bottle of the dewormer. They use terms such as ml which is the same as 1cc in a syringe. If you do not know what you are doing, take your pup into see your Veterinarian and also take in a stool sample from your puppy. If you do deworm at home, be sure to repeat the deworming in 10-14 days.
No, carrots will not deworm a goat. You need to use an appropriate deworming drug. Goat owners should contact their veterinarians for advice on deworming.
