first when you turn on the key you will hear a whine (that is your fuel pump working) to listen for this go in back by the tank or open your gas cap and open the flap and listen for the whine. if you do not hear a whine then most likely your pump is bad. or you can go buy a pressure gauge for the fuel rail located on the top sides of your engine and test your fuel pressure and if there is no pressure then the pump is bad ( you need to turn the key on) also i do not know the exact pressure for your pump so you will need to ask a Chevy service personal this. remember if you do get a whine this does not mean your pump is good. chevys are pressure sensitive (on the fuel pressure). good luck.
