Turning is acceleration, and it doesn't affect your speed. One example of this is a satellite in orbit, it is always accelerating towards the Earth due to gravity, but the speed doesn't change because it's just turning in a circle around the Earth.

During uniform circular motion, the velocity of any object is continuously increasing even though its speed its continuous. The velocity of an object is dependent on both its speed and direction. The direction of the body is constantly changing but its magnitude ( or speed) is not at all changing.

You can't. Acceleration is defined as change in velocity per time unit (in symbols: dv/dt). Please note that in uniform circular motion, there will be acceleration without a change in speed, but velocity will change, since the direction changes.

By changing its direction (for example, going around in a circle).

For a uniform circular motion speed is held constant, but there is always a change in the velocity of the rotating body and hence there is a net acceleration

Can you have velocity without acceleration?

Yes, a body can have aceleration without velocity. Consider sin x the position; cos x is the velocity and -sin x is the acceleration. Here the acceleration negative when x=90 degrees and the velocity is zero at 90 degrees.

If an object is moving at a constant velocity what do you know about its acceleration?

"Acceleration" means change of velocity. If velocity is constant, then acceleration is zero.

Is there an acceleration when an object traveling at constant velocity and why?

No. Acceleration is change of velocity / time. If there is no change in velocity, there is no acceleration.

What is the change in velocity over time?

acceleration a----->velocity=acceleration x time: v=a x t

Is Acceleration is the magnitude of average velocity?

No. Acceleration is (change of velocity) divided by (time interval in which it changed). If velocity doesn't change, then there is no acceleration.

When a cars velocity is uniform what it is acceleration?

Acceleration is change of velocity divided by time; so if the velocity doesn't change, acceleration is zero.

Measures the changes in velocity?

A change in velocity is acceleration, so a accelerometer

What is the difference between volicity and accleration?

Acceleration is a change of velocity (per time unit).Acceleration is a change of velocity (per time unit).Acceleration is a change of velocity (per time unit).Acceleration is a change of velocity (per time unit).

Does velocity differ from acceleration?

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

What is the equation for change in acceleration?

accelaration is defined as the rate of change of velocity. Therefore the formula for acceleration is a =(Final Velocity - Initial Velocity) divide by the (change in time)

What is the rate change in velocity?

The rate of change in velocity is known as acceleration.

What is the acceleration between t equals 0 and t equals 3?

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity; without knowing the change in velocity between t=0 and t=3, the acceleration cannot be worked out.
