Take suboxone for one to three weeks depending on the severity of your symptoms. This will make withdrawls at best tolerable.Be sure to gradually decrease your dose. You can do it under doctor supervision but it is not mandatory. Take cold medication and devote time to sleeping. Try aspirin or cold meds to alleviate aches and discomfort. You are going to feel sick regardless of what you do, so it is best to just man up. You should be fine in a couple of days; it is safe to detox yourself from opiates at home. I have done it several times. Good luck!
Methadone
From what I've been reading is that propoxyphene is a synthetic opiate (Darvecett) that is used for pain instead of opiate base (loritab, perc's). In 1 article said they tried to use propoxyphene to ease withdraws in people that were opiate based with no success. hope this help please add to it
Xanax is not an opiate. Vicodin is an opiate.

Somebody who is suffering from opiate withdrawal could easily go to a hospital, a rehab, and a support group to get help. You may even be able to get help from a counselor.
the withdraws of U.S. forces
A good place to look for information on opiate addiction is Wikipedia. It has all kinds of information on the addiction itself and how to receive the best help.
suboxone attaches itself to the opiod receptors and actually have a long halflife (meaning they stay in the system for a while) and what it will do is you pretty much are wasting your money on anything opiate wise because since something from the suboxone is already attached to your opiate receptors nothing else can attach themselves to them. This also causes someone that already has opiates in their system to pretty much go into full withdraws within minutes, because the suboxone wipes off your opiate receptors.
