To learn pyrokinesis, you'll first need to train yourself with the use of spirit energy. This will require the most basic of exercises - making a psi ball. Once you practice enough and have good enough control over your energy, you can practice by connecting your energy to a flame and manipulating it. After a while, you'll be able to make your own source of fire, such as a fireball, straight from your hand. Be warned though, you will also need to build up your resistance to heat. You will most likely get burned.

Pyro-kinesis, is the ability to control fire with your mind.

Everyone has the ability to control their environment with their mind, the difficulty is in first believing you can do it, and second in practicing by starting small.

I love teaching this sort of thing to children, mostly because they haven't reached the point of skepticism that most adults have.

You rarely hear a child say. "That's impossible." or "You can't do that." Instead I hear, "Show me how." or "Let's try."

Once that hurdle is cleared it is simply time, practice and patience.

- Start with a candle in a draft-free room. This is very important, as you want to be certain you really are in control.

- Seat yourself comfortably and do a few relaxation exercises. Place the candle in a holder in front of you. Make sure the candle is higher than your face, or inside/behind of a clear glass shield. This is so that you are not effecting the flame with your breath.

- Light the candle, once it is burning steadily, sit back and relax.

- Concentrate on the flame, I find it easier to look at the spot where the flame and the wick meet, but others have their own preferences.

- In the beginning you will want to try small control. Make the flame extend (get taller), then make the flame decrease (be careful not to put it all the way out. As you gain more practice and control you can try to move the flame, bending it in various directions.

- Do not over do. In the beginning, you should only work a few minutes at a time (the concentration can tire you or give you headaches), working up to sessions of 15 minutes at maximum.

* Be advised, the learning can take years, and the control will vary with your experience and mind strength. Some people never master more than the basics, some people can light a wooden match from a distance.
