It really depends on the age rang.

For as if you were trying to make a baby fall asleep,you would may rock it to sleep or sing to them.

Or as for a child,maybe having storytime or snuggle time or even time to talk about school before bed.

As a teen,teens don't usally need help falling asleep on their own.Teens are usally up on their phones of electronics so you could start by taking those away before bed and saying goodnight.

And last,adults.Adults are the most mature so they probably set boundries as for what time they need to be up in the morning.Or,if you are the husband or wife,communicate with each other when you guys are in bed.Or snuggle.

At of all of that,everyone can have their own methods as to falling asleep.And like I said, it all depends on the age rang

Try to exhaust them such as making them work out a lot or forcing them to do tons of school work.

You could also try to get them drunk (not recommended and is against my morals.)

Some people get sleepy after drinking a lot of liquids such as water or even from eating a lot.

You could also try to mess up their sleep cycle.

Then they'd get more tired leading them to sleep.
