.AVI or Audio Video Interleave is a video format designed by Microsoft and should be widely accepted in any version of windows media player, otherwise any free .avi player online will do the trick
The big advantage of AVI video format is that it is built in to Windows. Theoretically, AVI should mean an end to file format worries for PC users: If you create, upload or burn AVI files, you can be sure that any other Windows user can play the file on their pc.

There are, in fact, products that can convert AVI files to DVD. CNET offers a free download of this product. If one is looking for advice on what product to use, it is recommended to check out the PC Advisor website.
Only two? Well .avi and .mpg are the most common i guess.
It doesn't have the proper codecs for that type of file installed, obviously.

Hi avi files are a video format. You can 'convert' existing video files to avi by using a software converter. something like enright super http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.HTML will do this (if you are using a PC) To use it, select 'avi' from the 'output' drop down list. 'drag and drop' your video file into the blank box at the bottom. click on 'encode' depending on the speed of the computer you are using it may take 20 mins to a couple of hours. the avi file, once converted will be located in the root of your 'c' drive. You don't mention what type of file you are converting and so it may be worth checking on the website I have mentioned above to see if the file you want to convert is compatible with super. If not, maybe do a search on Google for "how do I convert < name of file type> to avi" good luck

There are programs that can be purchased or downloaded to help hide files. Normally people just add locks to the files they wish not to share.
I downloaded an app called Zimly which is a media player and a private streaming player combined. Transferring files from my PC has also become a lot easier with the app's auto-conversion feature that supports file formats such as AVI, MKV, FLV, TS, ASF, MP4, and MOV. It is very easy and simple to connect or transfer files with the help of Zimly.
If a PC has no RAM, the computer will not boot. So your answer is no files will run ... on a PC.
Not without an emulator and not every title can play with available emulators like PCSX2. They convert the PC to Play the PS2 game downloaded files with the PS2 bios and do not convert the games to play on a PC. The difference being that the games software is not rewritten to play on the PC like a game that has been designed to play on the PC that also has a version designed to play on the PS2
