I've only known this technique to work on paper when I used to do art but, Hairspray seemed to work for me; don't forget that was paper though. There may be a way to heat it on but you should really contact either your local Art specialist or your Apple Store for advice.
The Ideal conditions for display would be indirect lighting, at a room temperature of 65 - 70 degrees, and 50% humidity. Always check your signatures periodically for signs of fading or deterioration, and avoid excessive handling. If the sharpie signed "plastic" is kept in a plastic protector, keep in mind that if the conditions are not right the signature could sweat onto the plastic if it is in contact with it. I have seen this happen with photos kept in plastic sheets. I don't know what item you had sign but if you keep it dry in low humidity conditions it should be fine.
I would use a fine tip, regular run of the mill, Sharpie. The ultra fine tip would be too small and not hold up as long.
A thin point sharpie is the best pen to use when autographing a hockey card.
Buy a clear cover so no one can mess with it and it won't fade.
If i were you, i would put a case over it, that would probably be the smartest thing to do.
Most famous people use Sharpie Marker, so I'm guessing that Taylor Swift signs her autographs with that same maker.
Can putting sharpie on your hair damage it
You can get sharpie off of anything by tracing wherever the sharpie mark is with an expo marker.

The original design for the MacBook family is to have the machine at least sleep when the lid is closed to preserve the battery. The part of the Mac OS called Time Machine is designed to backup software specified by the user of the machine when the machine is running. Sorry but.
