is it a windows mobile phone? try puttin it in the Sounds folder or it could b that the file is too big n your phone wont allow you to use it as a ringer

One could check the app store on their phone for music to use as a ringtone. Once one finds the song they want, it's as simple as downloading it and setting it as your ringtone.
You can add the music into windows media player. Then plug in your phone to computer and sync your phone with windows media player. Then the music should be able to uploaded to your phone.
