Using soap and try to keep it dry in between cleaning.
Try really hard not to bother it with your tongue.
If you're going to touch it with your fingers, make sure you wash your hands first so you don't get more bacteria into it.
Don't pick at the scab or hardened discharge.
Brush your teeth with very watered down toothpaste frequently, so bacteria doesn't build in your mouth.
DON'T use neosporin or any other ointments like that. It'll just make it heal wrong.
If it hurts, take pain killers, but don't put any creams or anything on it.
Good luck!
You could:
a) Return to the people who pierced your lip for advice - if they're licensed, they should have access to antiseptics, and have the proper knowledge to clear it up or;
b) Go see your GP. They'll know how to clear up the infection (with antibiotics usually), but I doubt they'd care very much about whether or not you could keep the piercing after the infection has cleared up.
Follow the written aftercare instructions your professional body piercer provided you with when you got your piercing done. They will have detailed instructions covering swelling and proper cleaning techniques, that should get you squared away quickly.
Take the jewellery out and leave it alone.
Keep cleaning it
dont mess with it
Dab with clear nail varnish/polish Put nail varnish around the hole and it shouldn't get bigger.
Sticky Tape!
That is because of what you are cleaning the piercing with, stop using it and just rinse the piercing under running water and it will go away.
Just stop using it. If it has caused any irritation to your piercing, the irritation will go away once you stop using the peroxide. FYI -- Some other things not to use : alcohol, neosporin and bactine. Also Never pick the dead skin from around your peircing it will cause it to make a bigger hole. Good thing for peircings are tea tree oil.
the only way is to have a bigger mass than the hole itself such as the sun
Either dry skin or dried lymph. Try soaking the piercing in warm water. Then use a q-tip to gently wipe away the crust. If that doesn't work, stop cleaning the piercing so often and make sure that you aren't using too much sea salt in the water. Also, stop using soap if you're using it to clean the piercing. Its very drying :)
Is the cut related to the piercing or is it just from a scratch in that area? If its unrelated to the piercing, you can put some neosporin or any other antibacterial cream on it. Make sure its the cream and not the ointment because the ointment is too thick and can stop the piercing from breathing if the cut is close to the piercing. If the piercing hole looks like a slit because of the cut or migration, go see your piercer. You might need a custom bar or to remove the piercing and get it done again later.
Because he/she keeps scratching it and irritating it a lot. you should see a vet so the can tread it and try to stop it from getting bigger
A hole in the septum can not be fixed without surgery. (I am a doctor who deals with drug addicts daily) If you stop snorting drugs, it may stop getting worse.
dont scratch it. Also put some cream
Yes. All of my ear piercings crusted. Make sure you clean them well and after then heal they will stop getting crusty.
Well right after the piercing is done sometimes there can be a little bleeding, rare but it does happen. If you have had the piercing for a few days this is just a reaction to bumping and cleaning and the bleeding should stop fairly quick. Remember it's a new hole so yeah bleeding could occur, once the tissue starts to knit the bleeding will stop and the piercing will heal up. Now be sure you are cleaning it well and properly, don't over clean as this can lead to further issues down the road.
