Unfortunately there's not a specific single identifier for a counterfeit Seated Liberty Dollar a couple of things most people can do is you can weigh the coin it should be 26.73 grams with a diameter of 38.1mm. But this does not guarantee it's authentic. I suggest submitting it to a third-party grading service
The best thing to do is take it to a coin dealer.
Check the weight. An authentic US silver dollar should weigh 26.73 grams. If the coin is heavily worn, the weight might be just slightly less.
you can tell it's real by the silver. If its real silver it is real. Get it?? I hope that helped you.
With the flood of counterfeit coins from China even if the weight and diameter are correct it's best to have checked by a professional grading service or take it to a dealer or collector for their opinion.
By the mint mark on the reverse of the coin, but silver dollar coins with no mint mark are made in Philadelphia

There are two simple methods to check. First is to weigh it. A genuine Morgan silver dollar should weigh 26.73 grams, though a worn one could weigh slightly less. More than a couple grams off would be suspect. Another method is to test with a magnet. Silver is non-magnetic, so real silver coins don't stick to magnets.
Take it to a reputable coin dealer who should be able to tell you if you have an authentic pattern coin. Most pattern coins are not authentic and therefore numismatically worthless. But if you have a real one it can be worth quite a bit.
Please rephrase question.
it is real but there is only about 3 left
Better tell that to the US Mint as I am holding one in my hand as we speak.
