Of course I can't answer for (no pun intended)Answers.com. However - the logic with sites using only Facebook 'sign-ups' and 'sign-ins' is more about gathering relevant marketing information from someone's Facebook profile more than simply using the feature.
For sign-up(in) to work, an APP must be developed which usually gathers data for future marketing opportunities. Truthfully - this is actually much smarter than developing a brand specific sign-in feature.
It allows access to millions of people which answers (and any other site for that matter) could never access for marketing purposes using brand specific methods. If they did decide to 'go it alone' surely to access the same amount of people would take years and hundreds of millions of $$$.
Because it is now required for members to use the social networking site, Facebook to create an account.
No, WikiAnswers (Answers.com) now requires members to use their Facebook account to create an account with Answers.
You have to create a Facebook account or login with a Facebook account in order to create an account on here.

No,you can't.Yahoo Answers is launched by yahoo,so hence,to create a yahoo answers account, you need to have a yahoo account.
There is no way to create a Facebook account without lying if you are below the required age to join.
You don't need Facebook . . . if you already have an Answers.com account. The skinny is that a new contributor who has not previously signed up, finds, when he attempts to sign up for an account with WikiAnswers, that WikiAnswers gives him only one mechanism for signing up. That mechanism is to use Facebook's signup mechanism. Create a new account on your computer, use a different browser, or try incognito mode in Google Chrome, when not already in incognito mode. Then try to sign In to Answers.com. You will have only two choices: Sign in with your already existing Answers.com account, or sign in with Facebook. There is no option for creating an Answers, com membership from scratch. If you don't have a "grandfathered" Answers.com membership, your only option is to sign in with Facebook. And to do so, you must either have, or must create, a Facebook account.
sorry theres no way
