White lions are the same species as normal lions, so no. The white fur is a mutation that would prevent it from living in the wild, so all those people who say they're breeding them for "conservation" are lying. It's for profit.

∙ 12y agoThey are endangered because the reason they are white is because they are inbred. To have a white lion/tiger they have to be inbred because that's the way the white pigment comes up. The pigment usually shows after a few generations. If humans hadnt of interfeared with them, they would not be white. White lions/tigers arent even their own subspecies! (example: Bengal tiger, African lion.) So really they shouldn't be around attall!
