Ricin is reported to be one of the most deadly toxins known to man, and amounts in the micrograms can be fatal. It is theorised that if one molceule of ricin enters a cell in the body, it can shut down protein synthesis and destroy the cell entirely.
The slightly worry prospect is that it does not seem very difficult to get hold of or produce naturally and if it was to enter say a water supply in a hydrostable state, 1 part per a few million of the water would make it deadly to humans
A different opinion...Ricin, a product of castor beans, in indeed a serious toxin, but I don't think I'd go as far as saying it's one of the deadliest known to man (that's where I'd out cesium plutonium, botulina toxin, &c.). The LD 50 for humans is 22mcg/Kg, which is a Lot more than one molecule of toxin. This toxin does not survive the treatment potable water gets in water treatment plants, and as such is not a serious NBC threat.
One example of a deadly poison is cyanide, which interferes with cells' ability to use oxygen, leading to suffocation on a cellular level. Another deadly poison is ricin, a toxic protein that disrupts cell function and can cause organ failure. Both cyanide and ricin are highly toxic and can be fatal in small amounts.
Polonium-210 is considered one of the most deadly poisons to humans. It is a rare and highly radioactive element that can be lethal even in very small amounts due to its intense radioactivity.istrofa.WebServlet@author
highly toxic is something where it can get to the point where it can exlpode or do other damage to pther things in lifelike for instannce your walking by and you see a sign saying highly toxic DO NOT TOUCH and u touch it obviaslly its gonna explode right!!!
Poison in a bullet refers to a bullet that has been coated or filled with a toxic substance, such as arsenic or ricin, with the intention of causing harm or death when the bullet enters a person's body. This method is illegal and considered a serious crime under international humanitarian law.
Poisons like cyanide, ricin, and arsenic are difficult to detect in the human body because they can break down quickly or metabolize into substances that are harder to trace. These poisons can be lethal in small doses and are not easily detected through routine toxicology screenings.
The active poison in the castor bean is ricin, a deadly water-soluble protein called a lectin.

Yes, it does kill people as it contain a deadly poison called ricin
Ricin has been used for medical research in cancer treatment due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis, which can help target and destroy cancer cells selectively.
ricin
Probably not. Ricin is toxic.
The deadly plant responsible for the most human deaths is the castor bean plant (Ricinus communis). Its seeds contain ricin, a highly toxic protein that can be fatal if ingested in even small amounts.
Wood Green ricin plot happened in 2003.
Ricin
The castor bean plant (Ricinus communis) was discovered in 1970 to be poisonous. The plant's seeds contain ricin, a deadly toxin that can be fatal if ingested in even small amounts.
The production of ricin is a low-tech endeavor requiring little time or funding.
Hard to detect.but still it is possible. Doctors guess it by Symptom. There is a Special test designed to detect Ricin!
