African Americans have made a big contribution to society whether it be business, or entertainment. Being that most of the entertainment business is populated with African Americans, their contribution to society is rather great. Whether you want to be the Michael Jordan of sports, the Michael Jackson of music, the Denzel Washington of acting OR the Barack Obama of government. These specific people, and MANY more, have impacted peoples live and it's hard to say they haven't. I know there is more to life than music and entertainment but believe it or not that's where a lot of our inspiration comes from. People may believe that minoritys commit most of the crimes. That's an entitled, yet blind opinion, because you have to understand that black people have been put at a disadvantage from the very beggining. Commiting crimes, though extreme, is a subconscious way of calling for help. And it's not even about being heard anymore because that still wont get to people. It's about putting into action which indeed is very hard. I hate to sound typical, but because of their hunger to be free the world would indeed be a different place.
Wonderful question. An issue that has been inquired into before by myself, too. The question you have asked this moment is not a no sweat question to settle.

I guess it just depends on their culture. Most African Americans in America tend to be Christian, so their customs, unless they have a strong African culture, is like our own. My friend is African American, and I was at his wedding, and they drank the classic Champagne.
