The public due to this was more excited and willing to go into a war nicknamed the war to end all wars. However the second time around when America was about to enter into World War 2 the public knew better than themselves entangled in another war. F.D.R this whole time hid behind America'sforeignpolicy of neutrality when in actuality America was slowly getting more and more involved in the war. the public this time also had a strong sense of nationalism, immigrant and native alike. Everyone in America anted the allies to win,becauseby this point everyone was fed up withGermany.
