Not only the Yankee's but also the Southern Rebels. Ms. Barton didn't show any fear and went right onto the battle field DURING BATTLE! When the camps moved, she would fallow the trail of soldiers in a wagon and pick up the fatigued soldiers that would fall to the back of the pack. Many leaders during the Civil War, on both sides, didn't agree with what Barton was doing and tried to get her arrested and imprisoned many times however they failed.
