Two instances:
1. When Odysseus is on the island of Calypso, Hermes comes as a messenger to persuade Calypso let Odysseus go.
2. Hermes gives Odysseus advice on how to avoid danger from Circe and how to get his men back from her. He gives Odysseus a magical plant to protect Circe from her charms, tells Odysseus to pretend to want to kill Circe after she tries to cast her spell, and warns Odysseus not to sleep with Circe before she has promised to do no harm to him.
Hermes gave Odysseus an antidote so that the Soreress Circe's magic wouldn't affect him.
Hermes assisted Odysseus several times in his journey.

When Hermes arrived on Cyclopes Odysseus was crying of homesickness.

Anticlea was the mother of Odysseus; her father was Autolycus, and his father was Hermes. Hermes is the brother of Hephaestus by their father Zeus.
Hermes gives him a magic herb that is found on the island so that when she kisses him it don't affect him.
Hermes helps Odysseus at the end of his 7-years on Ogygia with Calypso, and just before he meets up with Circe.

Hermes advises Odysseus on how to avoid Circe's spell that turns men into pigs by giving him a special herb called moly to protect him. Odysseus follows Hermes' instructions and is able to resist Circe's magic.
