Jacob imprinted on Renesmee (like he knew they would be in love forever) and it's just a 'thing' werewolfs do... i bet if he wasn't a werewolf he wouldn't have liked Renesmee

(only werewolves do it though) but after Bella almost kills Jacob by trying to bite him because she knows he imprinted on her, he resigns himself just to being there for them, and looking out for Renesmee.

Yes, she loves Jacob... but she was only confused about her feelings. in new moon, she only loved him as a friend. but in eclipse, when Jacob and her were kissing she realized she was actually in love with him, too... but not as much as she loved edward tho, obviously. and in breaking dawn Jacob imprints on Renesmee, edward and Bella's daughter. soo everything worked out in the last book.
