They would say: Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Communist party?

The accused would say No

Then they would present so testimony of some witness that would not be named due to security reason and then rant on and on about it.

It was a farce of due process and a mockery of the legal system that resulted in a lot of innocent people losing their jobs and being forced to move away.
