Napoleon sold the Louisiana territory to USA which almost doubled the size of the USA. This was sold for a very low price for a lot of land. This was important, because Napoleon helped the USA a lot by selling them this land. When the US president bought it, they were thinking it was unconstitutional, but in the end decided to buy it.
