Raphael painted his people in fleshy rosey tones and fabrics draped and fell like real cloth. His work has form, composition, and visual achievement. He is best known for his madonnas. Gloss was used to make his paintings glow from within. He was high Renaissance and his work showed the Neoplatonic themes. On the other hand da Vinci was before Raphael and showed less of the themes that Raphael used. It could be said that da Vinci was the foundation for the art of Raphael.
