Steve Jobs did not invent apples to apples, the game apples to apples was invented in 1996 by Matt Kirby.

If you are talking about Apple Inc. or originally Apple Computer Inc. it was established in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. They began by making mother-boards in their garage.

In fact Jobs did not have the necessary technical skills at the time but rather Wozniak was the one to build the original Apple computer Apple I. Jobs had the business mind to incorporate and sell the apple name.
