they can see Saturn without a telescope because the planet, Saturn is near a planet but the mystery will go into your hands............so find the answer and get your teacher to be shock........
At night some of the planets can be seen with the naked eye. Over the last century, we have filled the night sky with light from towns and cities. In earlier times, this light pollution was almost non-existent and the night sky was far easier to see. As well as being able to see far more stars than most of us can today, our forefathers would also have seen several planets clearly without any aids.
In the 1600s, telescopes were first used to study the sky and they made planets and stars much more visible.
Early astronomers could see Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. There are two factors that enabled them to see the planes -- their size and there distance. Mercury, Venus and Mars are smaller but close. Jupiter and Saturn are further away, but bigger. They could have seen Uranus too if they knew where to look but because it was fainter and further away, they missed it, and it was not until the telescope came along that Uranus was discovered.
They thought earth was the center of the universe.

No, It is the science that attempts to understand the history and the make-up of the universe. In other words, astronomy is not just the study of stars, it is pretty much all of the universe and all of space.
Telescopes.

Astronomers can use their eyes to study the stars. They can also use various telescopes that either refract, reflect, and detect exotic formations.
