In the first novel it really annoyed him because he didn't feel like he had done anything to deserve it until after his first Quidditch match where he felt that he had at least achieved something. His fame always irked him a little but as the years passed he got used to it.

∙ 11y agoHe didn't believe it at first, telling Hagrid that someone had made a big mistake, but when he learnt the real cause of his parents death and then petunia calling him and his deceased mother a freak and therefor saying magic was real, he believed it wholeheartedly. Enough to leave the house and into a boat with a strange man.

∙ 13y agoHe felt in Hogwarts, like that was be his home. At the Dursley's he never felt good, they never really loves him, but at the Hogwarts there was many people besides him.
