I saw Kossi perform at several clubs (Exit Inn) around Nashville, TN
in the early 70's. Kossi was an incredible jazz organist and was featured
on several Chet Atkins' Albums in the late 60's. Kossi grew up in Nashville
and attended Fisk University. His family owned a funeral home in North
Nashville where Kossi used to work. Gardner Funeral Home had a drive thru,
where you could view the body from your car. The last time I saw Kossi was at
Jimmy Smith show in downtown Nashville in the late 90's. Kossi was a true legend around Nashville and will be greatly missed. RIP
