Does an engineer have to do a lot of math?

In my opinion, yes, engineers need to do alot of math Definately. When I completed my engineering degree 40+ years ago we had to take 4 levels of Calculus and Differential Equations and maybe 1 more math. That is almost 3 years of straight math courses. Then on top of that, when you began studying in your field during Junior and Senior year, each class used math derivations for homework and lectures.

What was discovered first art or math?

Art would have to have come first - think of cave paintings and the like. Early man had no need to carry out calculations. After 2 or three of something it was just "a lot" and that's all they needed to know. Only after settlements began and people living closely and no longer itinerant and trading began did there come a need for math.

math are english or arabic?

Good question. in math Algebra was first originated from the arabs, and math was present in ancient Egypt with fractions and other mathematical concepts. But the oldest form of math was from the ancient greeks, math began in the 6th century BC with the Pythagoreans, who coined the term "mathematics" from the ancient Greek μάθημα ( mathema ), meaning "subject of instruction". Sometimes it depends on the specific branch of math but for your question, if the answer is generalized, the ancient Greeks developed math and not the english people nor the arabs although algebra was from the arabs named “الجبر”, in conclusion, the greeks developed the earliest form of mathematics.
