Melvin Calvin is an American chemist who won the 1961 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his discovery of the chemical pathways of photosynthesis. His research helped in further understanding the factors that affect photosynthesis.
He found the path that photosynthesis makes turning carbon dioxide intoenergy. He won anobel prize in chemistry for his work in it in 1961.
