Are some crimes worse than others?

Yes, all sins are not equal. Some sins are worse than others as the Holy Bible tells us.For Example - In Mark 3:28-29 it says --"28-Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29- But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: So,the scripture tells us that Blaspheming the Holy spirit (Ghost)is most worse sin than the others. That is right, also fornication is another worst sin. Read 1Corinthians 6:18-19

What is mrs merriweathers view on northerners?

Mrs. Merriweather's didn't like Northerners mostly because Southerners, like her, blamed the North for the depression. Maycomb people were suspicious of outsiders too, and Northerners are outsiders. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt had "sit with 'em" -Negroes. "Hypocrites... born hypocrites... At least we don't have that sin on our shoulders down here. People up there set 'em free, but you don't see 'em settin' at the table with 'em... Down here we just say you live your way and we'll live ours."

Why did God let the Holocaust to happen?

Mormon viewWhen we came to this earth, and even before when we were but spirit children of our father in heaven. We all had what is called Free Agency. We used this agency while still in the spirit world, some using it to follow God, others to follow Satan, He and his followers being cast out of heaven to torment man. This Agency has never been taken from mankind, and he uses it to do good or to do evil.God allows war and genocide so that man might be judged righteously. All those who die are taken back to that god who gave them life.God will not interfere with the agency of man, though He may at times cause that certain men will die so that a whole nation will not perish in disbelief.Non-Mormon viewGenocide is defined in the Collins dictionary as " the policy of deliberately killing a nationality or ethnic group. " Death entered the world when man sinned, and the first murderer was Cain when he killed his brother Abel:Gen 4:8 And Cain talked with his brother Abel. And it happened when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.Gen 4:9 And Jehovah said unto Cain, Where is your brother Abel? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper? [Comment on v9:- Yes: we are supposed to look out for one another, especially family]Gen 4:10 And He said, What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to Me from the ground.Note that Cain did not deny what he had done or say he was not guilty, but also note that God did not 'zap' him on the spot with a mighty bolt of lightning to completely atomize him: Cain had to bear the consequences of his sin:-Gen 4:11 And now you are cursed more than the ground which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.Gen 4:12 When you till the ground, it will not again give its strength to you. And you shall be a vagabond and a fugitive in the earth.Gen 4:13 And Cain said to Jehovah, My punishment is greater than I can bear.Gen 4:14 Behold! You have driven me out from the face of the earth today, and I shall be hidden from Your face. And I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth, and it shall be thatanyone who finds me shall kill me.Gen 4:15 And Jehovah said to him, Therefore whoever kills Cain shall be avenged seven times. And Jehovah set a mark upon Cain so that anyone who found him shouldnot kill him.Gen 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of Jehovah and lived in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.God did not intervene but allowed Cain to go ahead and murder Abel. Jesus described him in verse 35 as "righteous Abel" ,so it is not as if Abel was a nasty character who received his just desserts:Mat 23:35 so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berachiah, whom you killed between the temple and the altar. However, read the preceding verses to get it all this in context: Jesus was telling the Pharisees, who were more righteous outwardly than we could ever hope to be be, that they were murderers because this attitude was also passed down genetically from father to son, which attitude they originally received from Satan, and that as a result they were destined for hell:-Mat 23:29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets, and decorate the tombs of the righteous,Mat 23:30 and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.Mat 23:31 Therefore you are witnesses to yourselves, thatyou are the sons of those who killed the prophets;Mat 23:32 and you fill up the measure of your fathers.Mat 23:33 Serpents! Offspring of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?Mat 23:34 Therefore, behold, I send prophets and wise men and scribes to you. And you will kill and crucify some of them. And some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city;God does not intervene in affairs on earth except for relatively-minute instances. This would include such things as miracles and angelic protection for individuals, but especially for God's nation of Israel. When Haman wanted to commit genocide against the Jews and wipe them out, God intervened and he died instead. In chapter 28 of Deuteronomy God promises blessings for obedience, but curses for disobedience. The curses are designed to drive people to repentance and thus back to God: that was the reason the Jews were taken captive to Babylon, that was the reason for the Diaspora, that was the reason for the Holocaust of the WW2 where one-third died, and that will be the reason for the future holocaust of Israel where two-thirds will die:-Zec 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.Zec 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle [ie the Battle of Jericho!]If God intervened every time we sinned and if we were never able to do wrong, then we would just be robots or automatons doing what God wants. God wants people who want to follow Him, who will do it willingly, not for what blessings or whatever they can get out of it, but because they love him. God would like everyone to do that, but He is not going to force people to make the right choice: you cannot force someone to love you. It has to be a decision of someone's own free will, so He has given everyone enough rope to hang themselves and suffer the consequences of their sin and the sin of others, or to turn to Him in repentance for forgiveness. Genocide is murder, and murder is a sin: there are no degrees of sin because sin is still sin regardless of the amount of that sin. Because sin is designed to drive people to God, sin will not be removed , and that means God will still permit crimes such as genocide to still occur.

Does Violence come from sin?

There is no sin. Sin is an invention of religion. Sin does not exist outside of religion. Violence comes from man's desire to wreck havoc upon his fellow man, this includes Christianity that desires to dominate the world in the same manner Islam seeks to dominate the world and subjugate humanity to its perverse desires.

Does the Watchtower teach Jehovah's Witnesses that lying is no sin if it is to protect their organization?

I think you are referring to our 'Theocratic War Strategy' (look it up). Our Society does not teach that 'lying is no sin'. However that doesn't mean that one needs to tell the truth to those not entitled to know if that would protect Jehovah's people. Was Rahab lying? No, of course not..

sin(3A) = sin(2A + A) = sin(2A)*cos(A) + cos(2A)*sin(A)= sin(A+A)*cos(A) + cos(A+A)*sin(A) = 2*sin(A)*cos(A)*cos(A) + {cos^2(A) - sin^2(A)}*sin(A) = 2*sin(A)*cos^2(A) + sin(a)*cos^2(A) - sin^3(A) = 3*sin(A)*cos^2(A) - sin^3(A)
