Why did the Korean conflict not lead to world war?

Beacasue it was not realy a war it was a dictator ship problem becasue of pablo. Primarily because the war was confined to Korea only. Neither the U.S., nor its allies who supported South Korea, or communist china and soviet russia, who supported North Korea, wanted to escalate the war beyond the Korean peninsula. The United States, Soviet Russia and Communist China were carefull to not allow the Korean War to spiral out of control.
