It is commonly mistaken for the Hebrew equivalent of the English name Joshua. This is because Joshua in Hebrew is Yehoshua or Yeshua. Yahshua is the Hebrew name of The Messiah and simply means Yah saves or Yah is Salvation. The Hebrew letters of the Alephbet Yah Hey Wau Hey Shin Ayin make up his full name. Research the meaning of those separate letters and you will have a much better understanding of the True Nature of Our Messiah.

halleluYah

Answer:

Yahshua is the name of the set apart Spirit which is Yahweh our Elohim!

It is not the replacement name for Yosef .

The Messiah of Yosef came in his father's name that name is Yahshua meaning Yah is the Savior.

Just as Yahweh means Yah is your Savior!

When the set apart Spirit descended on Yosef he became Immanuel - Elohim with us!

Jesus is English and Yeshua is Hebrew. Answer: Jesus is not Yeshua, Jesus is translated from the word Zeus. Yahshua is translated for Hebrew and is not the name of Yosef the Messiah. Yosef came in his Father's name and we would call him Immanuel. It does not said we would name him Immanuel. It says we would name him Yosef.

Yeshua means "to deliver" or "to rescue". Which is fitting as this is generally considered to be the Hebrew word which is rendered in English as Jesus.

Jesus came to the earth to "deliver" us from the bondage of sin that we inherited from our first human father - Adam.

By dying as a perfect man, he "paid" the price that could offset the damage Adam did when he sinned as a perfect man.

Answer:

"Jesus" is how "Joshua" [pronounced: 'Yeshua'] comes out in English.

When we say, "Jesus Christ"... we are actually saying, "Joshua, the Messiah."

"...He [Andrew] first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found Messias [the Messiah], which is, being interpreted, the Christ." (John 1:41)

In the KJV book of Hebrews we find:

"For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day." (Heb.4:8)

The NIV says: "For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day."

The "Literal Bible with Strong's Definitions" says it this way:

"if For them Joshua caused rest, not - concerning another he would have spoken after these things day." It may not translate that well, literally, into English... but the "inspired" word for this passage is clear.

The word "Jesus" in this English KJV passage is the originally inspired, "lesous" [pronounced: ee-ay-sooce'].

"Lesous": "of Hebrew origin... Jesus (i.e. Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites: KJV--Jesus." (Strong's Definitions)

"Jesus" is actually a clumsy English word for "Joshua" [Yeshua].
