The Shanghai Showdown was the first scene in Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom
This is quite humerous. Although his real name is Henry Jones JR.,it was revealed in the third movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, that he calls himself Indiana after a dog. Indiana had fond memories with it and thus took on Indiana. Indiana Jones' real name is Henry Jones Jr., named after his father, who simply referred to him as "Junior". At a young age, he gave himself the nickname "Indiana" after the name of a favorite family dog. This is explained at the end of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". That movie starts with a flashback showing the main character as a teenager, where he is already using the nickname "Indiana". That flashback includes a scene in Indy's boyhood home where we glimpse a dog, which is likely his namesake.

If you're referring to the early scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones puts in his suitcase a whip and his revolver.
He sets the scene with lingering suspenseful music that is somewhat native to the jungle region in the film.

"Indiana" in the Indiana Jones movies is derived from the name of Indiana's pet dog as revealed in the third installment of the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Also, George Lucas, the author of the Indiana stories, had a dog named Indiana in the 1970's. His dog was an Alaskan malamute, which is the same breed of the dog in the movie. A dog of the same breed is seen in the scene where young Indiana brings the cross home. However, it is not the dog named, Indiana. In the movie, there is a conversation between Sallah, Marcus Brody, Professor Jones, and Indiana. Sallah asks why Professor Jones calls Indiana, "Junior". Professor Jones tells him (pointing to himself), "That's his name." Then pointing to Indiana, he says, "Henry Jones...Junior." Indiana retorts, "I like Indiana." Professor Jones answers, "We named the 'dog' Indiana!" Sallah laughs and says, "You're named after the dog?" Indiana replies, "I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog."
"Anything Goes".

The big river scene was in Canada.
In the end of the last movie the last scene is Indy getting married to Irena. HAHAHAHA I'm just pulling your leg. He weds Marion.
