both of the books are really good. they are both about tennage boys and the difficulties surronding them. it is about growing up. both the main characters are very similar, Holden Caulfiled and Charlie are connected, both have similar life stories. however there are some differences as well. i would recommend every teenager on the planet to read them.

However, they differ in that Charlie, from the Perks of Being a Wallflower, is more social than Holden and the reason behind his breakdown was because his aunt had relations with him as a young boy. Holden's childhood problem was the death of his younger brother who will forever be considered perfect because someone who is dead cannot do anything wrong.
