I am a Christian so I can answer this... I hope. Easter Sunday was the day that Jesus got reserected. He died on the cross the Friday before that day, called Good Friday. We celebrate how He walked on Earth, risen from the dead, to prove that He was the Son of God. He walked around for days on after His resurection. He proved He was the Son of God by showing people the holes in His hands and feet from the nails, the scares on His head from the crown of thorns, and the gap in His side from the sword. He continued to preach the Gosple with more people to listen and be saved. We celebrate how He saved so many people. We celebrate how He was the Son of God. We celebrate how He was resurected and continued His teachings. I hope I answered your question. :)

Most churches have services or mass on Sunday morning; some have lunches or other activities afterwards.
The morning service usually has a worship component with singing and prayer; and a preaching/teaching component by a speaker. The exact formula for these varies widely depending on the denomination and church community. Some are highly ceremonial and sombre, while others are quite free spirited and energetic.

Easter Sunday for Christians represents rebirth and the divinity of Jesus. Many churches have sunrise services as part of the celebration. Associated with Easter is Lent where people fast and give up things they like and Palm Sunday. The Catholic Church also has Ash Wednesday and the time is used for the forgiveness of sins. The addition of decorative eggs and Easter bunnies come from the celebration of the Spring solstice by Celtic tribes and the Catholic Church when they converted the pagan traditions to use as part of the Christian celebration.
