No, you shouldn't store your photos in the Trash Bin as you might accedentally delete them permanently from your computer. In most cases your computer will have a "Pictures" folder where you can keep them, and often your photos will be downloaded there by default, unless you specify otherwise.
Click on the file name of the photo once. Then do a "right click" and you should see something that says "restore". Select this and it should put your photos back where they were.
