The electrolites that are in solution in the potato tissue, potassium, salt etc.
Bake it on a low heat until it's dried out. Trying to light a potatoe's like trying to light wet leaves....a lost cause unless you dry it first.
All right. Get two 8 in. lengths of insulated copper wires and cut the potato in half. Stick the two wires in each of them on the sides of them. Hook them up to the light bulb and wa-la! You've just made a light bulb light with potatoes!!
It probably can't be done.
The "lemon and electrodes" battery, so favoured by badly researched textbooks, can *barely* be made to light a super-bright LED, so your chances of getting a potato to work must be about zero.
You cannot get a potato to power a light bulb. In order to get, say, a lemon to power a light bulb you need to use a metal like zinc as one electrode, and copper as the other. An electronic circuit is then set up, but the reason why it works with lemons is becuase they contain citric acid. Other citrus fruits such as Oranges or limes may work also (but not as well as they contain less citric acid). Potatoes do not contain any citric acid, so they won't work.
Cut a potato in half, then cut a slit into each half large enough to insert a penny. Wrap copper wire around each penny. Stick the pennies into the slits in the potato. Wrap a third copper wire around a zinc plated nail and stick into one of the potato halves. Wrap some of the wire around the penny around the nail in the potato. Wrap the wire around the second nail and stick it in the other potato half. Connect the two loose ends to an LED light. It should light up.
if you want to know how a potato lights a light bulb u got to use wires to stick into the potato and wrap around the light bulb and they have to be copper wires
Potato juice contains many water soluble chemicals that may cause chemical reactions, and ones that generate electricity.
you cant make a potato light up but...you can make a light bulb light up with potato power.all you need is wire electric tape two potato's or lemons set it up and your good =)
yes they can most people use a potato
Dissimilar metals with very different electronegativities as electrodes (copper and zinc are two good choices), wiring to complete a circuit, a light bulb that does not take very much voltage to light, a potato, and something else to eat for lunch.
One way to loosen a light bulb that is stuck in the fixture is to break the bulb. You can then use half of a potato to unscrew the bulb from the fixture. You can also make a loop with duct tape, adhere the middle of the loop to the light bulb. Use the two ends to twist the bulb out of the fixture.
I sOnt knOw. i was going 2 use it fOr a prOject but i dOnt knOw the steps tO make a light bulb gO On using it.
Only a genius touch is required to do this thing.I am sure you can!
A light bulb can make heat and light.
Make a circuit with 2 wires a batery and a light bulb and touch wire to medle on light bulb
Electricity + Glass = Light bulb
