You can keep your dog from getting pregnant if you take her to be spayed. That is the only way unless you want your dog to be complete captivity and never go outside. That is not possible though, because your dog has to go to the bathroom and run to waste energy.

Well, a female dog can get pregnant as early as 6 months...but it's not recommended to let a dog that young get pregnant, it's like letting a 10-12 year old human get pregnant...it's possible biologically but not good.
