you have two parts to your brain, uper and lower. when you consume alcohol it dims your upper brain which without you can ccontrol your body propally. eventually when you drink too much, it dims out the lower brain too which causes you to pass out. that's the short term effect but the long term affects are,getting liver failure, alcohol poisoning and even brain damage which can all lead to death. i hope that helped!
