Butterflies move by flights. They fly from place to place. They have four wings which are joined together but do not move together as the butterfly flies. They have very strong muscles in their thorax region that allow them to push their wings up and down to force the air both above and below to move. A butterflies wings also do not move just in an up and down motion, they move in a figure eight format.

they fly by thare wings because thare tiney bodys r lighter than thare wings thay flap them then thare off.
