I'm not sure what heater cables are, need more info.
Since the vehicle will have a steel dash board all that is needed is first to remove the heater hoses and the bolts that are securing the heater case to the firewall, disconnect the cables and the case will be what is called a (roll out) unit from the bottom of the dash................
The heater core is located in the heater box, which is located just above the battery, LH side, on the firewall. Look for two small (approx. 4.5") black hoses. Those hoses connect to the core.
I believe the right lever by the shifter controls the heat. Make sure the tubes coming from the "doghouse" are there and not crushed. Make sure they go under also. Make sure the heater cables aren't broken. Look at the heater boxes and make sure the cables are moving the levers all the way. If the previous owner put J-tubes on you can't get heat now. They replace the heater boxes.
No such thing.
A "1998" FALCON ? ? ? HARD TO BELIEVE. I HAD ONE BUT THAT WAS "1970"
They just pull off.... NOT very easily though. Chances are, they will be loose when you put them back on (if you reuse them) so you'll need a little glue when you put them back on. They are simply pressed on to the levers.
Maharashtra Pollution Control Board was created in 1970.
