Generally two male Chinchilla's will get along with no problems. In fact male chinchilla's will share a space with much less fuss than females (who can be very territorial. A male Chinchilla will generally be happier with another male than if he was alone. As with all animals you should try get a good match. A older Chinchilla will tend to be less threatened if a younger chinchilla is introduced, or if you pair a dominant Chin with a subservient one. That being said with enough patience and supervised play you will most likely be fine as long as they are both male and there is NOT a female present.
