Crayfish are omnivorous, meaning that they can (and will) eat pretty much anything that sits still long enough to be eaten. They may also grab and eat anything that is small and unwary enough to cross their path too closely. They are happy to scavenge, and will certainly not waste the opportunity to feast upon carcasses. Mature crayfish most actively feed at night.

Firstly, they use their feelers due to their poor eye sights to find and scavenge for food. Then, they continue by using their claws to pound into the ground with immense force; until they are completelysubmerged. Once under the rubble, they pounce on any oncoming creatures by propelling themselves using their 6x spring loaded crawler legs. Once they devour their meals... They level up.

A crayfish doesn't really have to use too much conniving to capture its prey, as it will just eat anything that doesn't get out of the way fast enough. The crayfish will grab food with its pincers and eat the food.
