French people have a donkey for Santa's sleigh instead of reindeer, they also call Santa Claus Father Christmas.

From what I know the french the French place their shoes by the fire and in the morning find presents in them and fruit and nuts and small toys hanging on the tree from la pere noel ( father Christmas. After midnight they eat a feast called the reveillon which is sea food and roast goose

1 of the traditions french people do for the christmas seson is that people in France put their shoes outside their house door on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day they open their door and the shoes are filled with stuff like treats,little toys, etc.
