Think about what caused you and your friend to drift apart. Then think of ways to fix it. If it's hurt feelings which happens in many cases, maybe you can make it right with your friend. If you are not sure why you drifted apart then talk to your friend and maybe you can find out why, it could be a misunderstanding or something too.
Call your friend or talk in person which ever you more comfortable doing, say to her/him that you've missed them and you were wondering if you could get together and see a movie or go out to dinner or even just talk to each other at first and gradually get your close relationship back again.
